Did you know that you had a Community College Board with property taxing authority, and if so did you know who your Board members were?
One of my goals once I am a Board Member of the Maricopa County Community College Board is to bring to bear private business market value to determining the pay scales and value of all that work for or on the Community College payroll. There has never been a study done to find out what each of these positions should be being paid and how the current system compares. I want to bring the market to the system. I also want to put the entire budget on the internet and hold meetings with different groups to make sure that all of the decisions are sound and based on many different focus groups and experience.
